BLACK FRIDAY???

We did not do Black Friday as sales are so slow on Friday at the mall. Instead we did Black Saturday as it gives people a chance to hit the Wal-Marts, Targets etc. and then hit us on Saturday. And let me tell you the marketing strategy worked wonderfully. We had customers lining up starting at 6am and we did not even open until TEN!!! Next year we will open earlier for it. We had record sales that day for 2008. Just something to think about for next year.

GRETNA GROOMING OPEN

There is a new pet grooming business open at Nebraska Crossing Mall. It is near the atrium. They opened October 1st.

10% off for mall employees at many mall stores

Most of the mall stores give mall employees 10% off their purchases so do your Christmas shopping right there at the Nebraska Crossing Mall and save money too.

NEW STORES COMING?

Tim said they are working on two more places at the mall but could not tell me what they were. From "Mall rumors" I heard one may be a pet grooming place. Nothing is in stone yet. If you know a store, coffee shop, eatery etc that you like togo to, talk to them about moving to Nebraska Crossing. We are all desperate for more retail locations so business will pick up and we all need to work together on getting more businesses to come to the mall.

PONTIAC CAR SHOW IS THIS WEEKEND AND SIDEWALK SALES

This is a VERY popular car show so plan to be busy this weekend. Also we are having mall-wide sidewalk sales. Please send out e-mail blasts to your customers to let them know.

NEW STORES

Home Decor and Patio is finally open and the store is hopping with customers which is great to hear! Also Teddy Bear Connection is open. They are like a Build a Bear Store.

We are also getting and Indian Motorcycle store which I went down to talk to them as I did not hear anything was coming but seen they were working away in the spot that used to be the Auction Center. This will be the only Indian Motorcycle shop which will be a good draw for customers.

If anyone hears of anything else new coming to the mall please let me know so we can share it with the other mall employees.

The first email blast will be going out soon. If you have any special for your store you would like included in it please email or fax them to Tim. It would be nice if each store could have some kind of special to be included in the first blast as if there is not anything worth getting in an email people tend to unsubscribe. We need to give them incentives to stay on the list.
